Special Education Teacher

Minimum starting salary: $23,250 plus longevity payments and potential for $5,000 health insurance buyout. Longevity payments: $500 payment after 100 days worked, $750 after 200 days worked, $750 after 400 days worked (paid in lump sum and added to base salary.) Starting salary increases based on experience.

Special Education, Plattsburgh and Mineville Campuses

Anticipated start date:
September 1, 2026

Position information:
Multiple positions, full time/10-month per year position, follows school calendar

Paid time off:
School holidays off, snow days off, 10 sick days, 5 personal leave days, and 3 bereavement days per occurrence

Retirement system:
New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS)

Health insurance: 12% of premiums paid by employee. BOCES pays 88% of premium.

CEWW health insurance consortium is the same as 15 local school districts.

$5,000 per year health insurance buyout available
