Per Diem Counselor, Student Health and Counseling Center

We are seeking qualified applicants to serve as per diem Counselors in the Student Health and Counseling Center. The Center is an integral part of the college community, providing both clinical and educational health services. The per diem Counselor position will maintain an active caseload, conduct intake assessments, provide individual and relationship counseling, provide crisis intervention, and make referrals to appropriate agencies when needed.

The position also includes maintaining current clinical files and conducting family consultations when warranted. The counselor will work variable office hours, including evenings and weekends, based on departmental needs. The work obligation for this position will be an average of 10 hours per week. Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, or equivalent clinical degree. Current New York State licensure in a mental health profession, with demonstrated experience in clinical assessment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, and short-term counseling interventions. Two years of experience. Willingness and ability to perform some evening and weekend work. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a college counseling center.

Salary: $38.00/hour minimum.
