Principal Architect

Cox Automotive is seeking a Principal Architect to drive end-to-end architecture for scalable, cloud-native platforms that power our automotive and media solutions. In this role, you'll define technical vision, lead the design of distributed systems and APIs, and ensure performance, reliability, and security across products used by dealers, OEMs, and consumers worldwide. You'll partner with engineering, product, and data teams to align architecture with business goals, mentor senior engineers, and champion best practices in Dev Ops, observability, and modern software design.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end enterprise and solution architecture for key Cox Automotive platforms.
• Design scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native systems and distributed services.
• Lead API, integration, and data architecture strategy across products and brands.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Review and guide implementation to ensure architectural integrity and performance.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across multiple teams.
• Champion Dev
• Ops, observability, and CI/CD practices to improve delivery and reliability.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and patterns to drive innovation.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and availability requirements.
