Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Registered Nurse

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide acute inpatient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced telemetry environment, ensuring patient safety and compliance with facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions to identify changes in clinical status.
• Administer medications, including insulin and cardiac drips, following physician orders and safety protocols.
• Start IVs, perform venipuncture, and assist with invasive procedures such as post-cardiac cath care.
• Document patient information accurately in the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Float to appropriate units as needed, maintaining flexibility during shift coverage.

Qualifications:

• Valid Nursing License with active registration.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry or PCU experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; NIHSS must be completed prior to start.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records within the past 2 years.
• Ability to manage complex patient conditions such as ACS, post-stent care, and hemodynamic instability.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to work scheduled shifts, including holidays.
