Registered Nurse Telemetry

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced RN to support Med/Surg Telemetry, ED Hold, and Resource Float assignments. This role involves working in a fast-paced hospital environment, providing critical patient care across multiple units, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical conditions, including Med/Surg Oncology, Orthopedics, and Urology.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage IV pumps, bladder scanners, and blood draws off central lines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow and adherence to protocols.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic health records and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Assist in the management of ED Hold patients, including triaging and initial assessments.
• Support unit operations by performing duties such as blood glucose monitoring and responding to patient and staff needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NY RN license or proof of application with applied date, with licensing taking 6-8 weeks.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent clinical experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
• Must have active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Epic electronic health record experience from the past 2 years is required.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts including every other weekend and holidays as needed.
