Registered Nurse IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide acute inpatient nursing care to adult patients. The role involves floating to various units, managing complex cardiac and respiratory cases, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor IV infusions, including insulin and cardiac drips, ensuring patient safety and medication efficacy.
• Perform invasive procedures such as starting IVs and post-cardiac cath care, adhering to protocol.
• Document patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, addressing issues related to hemodynamic stability and respiratory support.
• Maintain compliance with unit-specific procedures, including telemetry monitoring and medication administration.

Qualifications:

• Hold current NY RN license or proof of application with an applied date.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent tele experience in an acute care setting.
• Credentialed with AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experienced in managing cardiac and respiratory drips and post-procedure care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system within the past 2 years.
• Exhibit strong clinical skills in invasive procedures, patient assessment, and emergency response.
