Position: Production Associate ( Shift 430P-3A) - CHCl Manufacturing

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for controlling, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and processes in a chemical manufacturing facility. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operations while adhering to environmental, health, safety, and quality standards. Operators play a key role in maintaining production schedules, troubleshooting process deviations, and supporting continuous improvement in plant operations.

* Role and Responsibilities:

* Operate and monitor chemical production equipment such as reactor tanks, distillation columns, pumps, compressors, and filtration systems.

* Adjust process variables (temperature, pressure, flow rates, levels) to maintain optimal conditions and product specifications.

* Perform regular inspections of plant systems to identify and resolve issues or escalate to maintenance/engineering teams.

* Start up, shut down, and clean process equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety protocols.

* Accurately record operating data, process changes, and shift reports.

* Collect in-process samples and collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure product compliance.

* Handle and transfer raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using proper procedures.

* Respond to alarms, upsets, and emergency situations following plant safety and emergency response protocols.

* Support preventive maintenance activities and assist with equipment troubleshooting.

* Work as part of a team

Requirements:

* Some exposure or experience working with chemicals is a plus, but can be trained for the right person.

* Knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and safety standards (OSHA, PSM, environmental compliance).

* Ability to read and interpret SOPs, batch sheets, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

* Mechanical aptitude with exposure to vacuum pumps, valves, control panels, and instrumentation.

* Advanced communication skills and ability to work effectively on a shift team.

* Willingness to work 4 day work week (10-12 hrs./day).

* High school diploma or GED required;
Associate's degree and/or technical certifications preferred.

* 1-2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing facility/production environment/plant operations is highly preferred.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

* Must be able to sit/stand for 8-12 hours

* Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Compensation + Benefits:

* Base salary starts at $20.00/hr + bonus based on company and personal performance.

* Starting wage may be more, depending on experience
