Generate sales by building relationships with clients, assessing their needs, and presenting tailored roofing solutions. Focus on securing new commercial roofing projects, managing client relationships, and contributing to company revenue growth. This role requires a strong self‑starter with outstanding communication, sales, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to understand roofing products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and engage clients by proactively seeking potential commercial clients who need roofing products or services.
- Assess roofing needs through thorough roof inspections and assessments to determine specific client requirements.
- Develop proposals by preparing and presenting detailed scopes of work, costs, and timelines for roofing projects.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, contractors, and property managers.
- Close sales by negotiating and finalizing contracts while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain records by tracking leads, sales activities, and client interactions in a CRM system.
- Stay informed on industry trends, new products, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Sales experience:
Preferably outside sales experience in commercial roofing or construction industry. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Strong negotiation skills to close sales and secure favorable contracts.
- Solid understanding of roofing products, materials, and installation techniques.
- Organizational and time‑management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve client issues and challenges.
- Tech savvy:
Comfortable using CRM systems, mobile apps, and other sales tools. - Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Physical requirements:
Ability to pass a workplace physical, and to bend, lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to remove a ladder from a truck, set it up for roof access, and re‑secure it on the truck.
Job Type: Full‑time
Salary:
From $52,000 per year (Range + commission)
Schedule:
8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
Base + Commission pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
Plattsmouth, NE 68048 – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
