The Residential HVAC Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Plattsmouth, NE. This role is responsible for installing, replacing, and setting up residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, measuring and cutting ductwork, connecting refrigerant lines and electrical components, and verifying system performance. The installer will perform start-ups, basic diagnostics, and adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operation, while maintaining cleanliness and safety at each job site.
The role also involves communicating with customers about system features, answering questions, and supporting a positive service experience aligned with the company’s customer-first approach.
- Ability to maintain high levels of Customer Satisfaction through clear communication, professional conduct, and quality workmanship.
- Strong Troubleshooting skills for identifying issues in HVAC systems and recommending effective repair or replacement options.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations and possession of appropriate EPA certification for handling refrigerants safely and in compliance with guidelines.
- Experience with Maintenance & Repair of residential HVAC equipment, including diagnosing, repairing, and replacing system components.
- Skills in Preventive Maintenance, such as inspecting systems, cleaning components, and performing routine checks to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
- Understanding of HVAC principles, airflow, ductwork, and electrical basics; ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or HVAC certification is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to travel locally to job sites.
- Physical ability to lift equipment, work on ladders, and perform tasks in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols, comply with company policies, and participate in ongoing training.
