School Bus Monitor - Plattsmouth, NE

Responsibilities

• Oversee before‑school pickup and after‑school drop‑off of students.
• Monitor safety and conduct routine safety checks of the bus and students.
• Assist students in boarding and leaving the bus, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols.
• Maintain communication with school staff and parents regarding any student or bus issues.
• Follow a split shift schedule: an early morning before‑school pickup and an afternoon drop‑off—with a guaranteed shift per school day. No overnight or weekend shifts unless desired. Additional hours may be earned through trips and charters when available.

• Age 21 or older.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• No college degree or high school diploma required.
• Enjoy working with students.
• Seeking a part‑time schedule.
• Prefer candidates with military experience, those returning to the workforce or looking for a second job, retirees, or individuals looking to jump‑start a new career.

• Starting wage of $17.50 per hour.
