Position Summary:
Assistant Director of Nursing ( ADON ) – RNThe Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations of the facility. This leadership role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting high-quality, resident-centered care. The ADON plays a vital role in staff development, clinical oversight, and maintaining a positive and professional care environment.
Qualifications:Current R.N. license in the state of AlabamaMust have at least two years of nursing experiencePrevious long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferredPrior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferredStrong clinical assessment and organizational skillsAbility to lead a team with professionalism and compassionExcellent communication skills with staff, residents, and familiesKey Responsibilities:Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operationsSupervise, guide, and support nurses and nursing assistantsEnsure care plans are implemented and updated appropriatelyMonitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians and familiesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and company regulationsParticipate in audits, quality assurance, and infection control initiativesAssist with admissions, discharges, and overall clinical workflowSupport staffing coordination and scheduling needsMentor and develop nursing staff to strengthen the clinical teamServe as acting DON in the absence of the Director of NursingBenefits:Competitive wages for Registered Nurses (RN)Blue Cross Blue Shield Health and Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
