Halverson & Company, Certified Public Accountants, a public accounting firm located in Pleasant Grove, UT is seeking to employ a Accounting Associate to work in the firm's growing accounting services department.

We are looking for candidates that are hardworking and dedicated team players, that can take ownership of their role in a fast-paced environment, and are looking to provide outstanding service to their clients.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day general ledger maintenance for multiple hospitality industry clients
  • Perform full cycle accounts payable
  • Post daily sales and cash receipts
  • Process payroll using ADP software, post adjusting journal entries
  • Maintain fixed asset records
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare and post month end journal entries
  • Analyze all balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Monthly and annual financial statement preparation
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns and Forms 1099
  • Prepare business personal property tax statements
  • Time keeping and tracking
  • Multi-tasking, simultaneously managing multiple client engagements
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Excellent client interaction and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Quick Books

Salary: $50,000 to $70,000 based on experience
