Position Summary:
The Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor records, preparing payments, and supporting month-end accounting tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, dependable follow-through, and the ability to work efficiently within a small accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, review, and accurately process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
* Verify approvals, proper department and GL coding.
* Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation.
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare weekly payment runs: ACH, checks, deposits.
* Assist with month-end close including accounting reconciliations.
* Provide documentation for audits.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and bank policies.
