We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team, specializing in custom home projects. This role involves working closely with clients to bring their vision to life, creating comprehensive design concepts, and ensuring seamless execution from initial planning to project completion.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for aesthetics, technical drawing skills, and experience managing high-end residential projects.
Responsibilities Client Engagement & Concept Development- Meet with clients to discuss their lifestyle, preferences, and project goals.
- Gather inspiration and create mood boards, material palettes, and design presentations.
- Develop interior design concepts tailored to each custom home.
- Design and produce detailed cabinetry and millwork drawings
, interior elevations, and floor plans. - Select and specify hard finishes (flooring, countertops, tile, hardware, etc.) and soft finishes (fabrics, wall coverings, window treatments).
- Source and specify furniture, lighting, appliances, plumbing fixtures, and accessories
. - Prepare and present design boards and construction documents for client and contractor approval.
- Collaborate with architects, builders, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
- Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress and address any design-related challenges.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and installation coordination.
- Review shop drawings and provide construction administration support.
- Degree in Interior Design or related field
. - 5+ years of experience in residential or custom home interior design.
- 2+ years of experience managing projects
. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Revit
, or other design software. Revit preferred. - Strong understanding of architectural detailing, cabinetry design, and material selection.
- Experience sourcing furniture, finishes, and lighting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
- Work on high-end custom homes with unique, personalized designs.
- Collaborate with a talented team in a creative and supportive environment.
