CAD Technician

Description

As an entry-level CAD Technician, you will create electronic design plans using computer software and work closely with Engineers to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D/3D computer models.

Transportation

Pleasant Grove, UT

• Prioritize tasks to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
• Working in Transportation Plan Production
• Create/Modify technical drawings of road, removal, utility, grading, drainage, erosion control, landscaping, signing, striping, signals, lighting designs, etc.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure that the drawings are correct and represent the design accurately
• Compiling and maintaining the entire plan set of technical drawings
• Ability to apply client standards to development of plan sets

• Knowledge Microstation InRoads and/or Open Roads
• Manage project data files from various sources
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally
• Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
• Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment
• Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Associates degree or equivalent technical degree
