Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 / year

Unmatched Comp Time Policy: Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO.

As a Bridge Engineer, you will support the engineering design of structures, provide top‑of‑the‑industry engineering services verified through a rigorous QC process, and build relationships with team members and clients using cutting‑edge technology and innovation to design infrastructure that will last.

• Design or check retaining walls and other structural components in support of roadway or site civil projects
• Prepare structure type selection studies
• Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs
• Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge software
• Assist the local team to establish and maintain client relationships; coordinate and communicate with clients to ensure project design objectives are met and achieve client satisfaction
• Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation‑related structural engineering

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s with a structures emphasis a plus)
• Passed P.E. exam (Registered P.E. a plus)
• 3–7 years of experience
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation
• Strong self‑initiative to meet client deadlines
• Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
• Experience working in a bridge design team
• Manage project data files from various sources
• Proactive and responsive communication with colleagues and clients, both in‑person and virtually/remotely
• Ability to travel and perform fieldwork on occasion
• Capable of working independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks with competing priorities
