Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 / year
Unmatched Comp Time Policy: Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO.

As a Bridge Engineer, you will support the engineering design of structures, provide top‑of‑the‑industry engineering services verified through a rigorous QC process, and build relationships with team members and clients using cutting‑edge technology and innovation to design infrastructure that will last.
CoreResponsibilities
- Design or check retaining walls and other structural components in support of roadway or site civil projects
- Prepare structure type selection studies
- Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs
- Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge software
- Assist the local team to establish and maintain client relationships; coordinate and communicate with clients to ensure project design objectives are met and achieve client satisfaction
- Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation‑related structural engineering
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s with a structures emphasis a plus)
- Passed P.E. exam (Registered P.E. a plus)
- 3–7 years of experience
- Knowledgeable in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation
- Strong self‑initiative to meet client deadlines
- Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
- Experience working in a bridge design team
- Manage project data files from various sources
- Proactive and responsive communication with colleagues and clients, both in‑person and virtually/remotely
- Ability to travel and perform fieldwork on occasion
- Capable of working independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks with competing priorities
