The Community Bank Compliance Analyst ensures that the bank complies with applicable federal and state regulations, internal policies, and investor guidelines. This role focuses on monitoring, reviewing, and advising on compliance matters related to deposit regulations, consumer and commercial lending, including mortgage, and small business loans. The analyst plays a key role in identifying regulatory risks, supporting audits, and enhancing the bank's compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor Bank activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as Regulation DD, Regulation E, Regulation CC, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, HMDA, FCRA, and UDAAP.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of deposit accounts, loan files, disclosures, and underwriting practices to identify compliance gaps or violations.
- Conduct quarterly and annual HMDA data scrubs.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations by preparing documentation.
- Analyze regulatory changes and assess their impact on Bank deposit and lending operations; recommend and implement necessary updates.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related complaints or issues related to Bank deposit and lending practices.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance reviews, findings, and corrective actions.
- Generate reports and dashboards for management on compliance metrics and trends.
- 1-3 years of experience in Bank compliance.
- Strong knowledge of consumer banking laws and regulations (e.g., Regulation DD, Regulation CC, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, HMDA).
- Familiarity with deposit and loan origination systems (LOS) and compliance monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to real-world scenarios.
- Experience with fair lending analysis and HMDA compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
