Position SummaryThe Laboratory Technician
Essential Job Functions- Execute laboratory and analytical protocols and SOPs, including QC analysis, on clinical samples
- Provide operational support to the research and development team
- Prepare necessary laboratory solutions, reagents, eluents, and standards according to department procedure and quality standards
- Perform proper record entry of all sample processes
- Conduct sample and inventory reception, including ensuring accurate record entry
- Maintain laboratory environment in a clean and organized manner
- Follow established safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure effective laboratory operations
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors Degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines and 1-2 years of relevant industry experience
- Emphasis on NGS testing, specifically with Oxford Nanopore Technologies and other long-read sequencing capabilities being a benefit
- Experience working within regulatory environments (CAP, CLIA, FDA) is critical
- Experience working in proteomics or protein analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of molecular biology, cell biology NGS library preparation and analysis, with
- Ability to interpret and present data and other complex information.
- A high level of commitment and a track record of quality work, with attention to detail
- Experience working within a LIM system
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively
