Job Overview
Teledyne Gas & Flame Detection is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for Fixed Gas Detection in the United States.
This role will promote and grow the fixed gas detection portfolio within the AMER region, working closely with the America’s sales team, engineering, and partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the fixed gas & flame detection product portfolio through required training.
- Achieve agreed sales targets by identifying opportunities in new and existing markets.
- Build strong relationships with distributors and manage their performance.
- Identify key end‑user accounts and implement sales plans to support direct or distributor selling.
- Meet regularly with customers, distributors, and prospects to understand evolving business needs.
- Prepare customer‑specific business plans and maintain detailed forecasting.
- Attend sales meetings, exhibitions, conferences and professional association meetings.
- Conduct sales presentations, customer training, and seminars.
- Use CRM, ERP, and IT tools to provide customer information, forecasts, and reports.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Marketing, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Product Management, and Application Engineering.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities on a weekly basis.
- Detailed knowledge of the fixed gas & flame detection market in the AMER region.
- In‑depth knowledge of gas detection systems (technical & sales).
- Basic ability to provide first‑level service support to customers.
- Professional field sales record of 5+ years with a proven track record.
- Ability to train and teach internal and external customers.
- Strong communication skills at all levels and across functions.
- Ability to create and maintain effective customer networks.
- Business development and lead qualification experience.
- Holding a degree in sales, engineering, business or a related field.
- Objective‑driven, enthusiastic, and a problem solver.
- Team player who builds and maintains positive relationships.
$87,800–$117,100 (estimate; actual compensation based on factors such as experience, location, and skills).
