Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor

Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years of warehouse or logistics experience. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with warehouse systems and technology. Basic Excel skills including:
Sort and Filter VLOOKUP Basic formulas Simple charts and graphs Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Physical & Working Conditions Warehouse environment with varying temperatures. May require overtime during peak operational periods. Occasional lifting of up to 20kg (40 lbs). Standing, walking, and warehouse-related physical activity throughout the shift.

Position Summary The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accurate and on-time dispatch of customer orders while maintaining high inventory accuracy standards. This role leads daily dispatch operations, supervises warehouse staff, drives productivity, ensures compliance with operational processes, and promotes a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities Operations & Dispatch Supervise day-to-day dispatch activities and warehouse staff. Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Monitor workload, labor allocation, and operational performance. Support inventory control, stock investigations, and location accuracy initiatives. Maintain dispatch dashboards and operational reporting.

Planning & Productivity Forecast labor requirements and workload one week in advance. Analyze customer order volumes and productivity trends. Develop staffing plans to support operational demands. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly standard work activities.

Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop Dispatch Team Members. Promote teamwork, accountability, and workplace morale. Provide on-the-job training and support employee development. Ensure all team members complete required training programs.

Reporting & Administration Complete beginning and end-of-day operational reporting. Track productivity metrics by customer/account. Document absenteeism and workforce performance data. Maintain accurate records within company systems.

Systems & Continuous Improvement Utilize warehouse management and company systems effectively. Support process improvement initiatives and structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys. Drive adherence to company procedures and operational standards.

Health & Safety Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company policies. Identify and address workplace hazards and unsafe behaviors. Report and investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses. Maintain health and safety documentation requirements.
