Audit Senior - Public Accounting (Hybrid / Pleasant Hill, CA)

In this role, you will lead complex audit engagements, work closely with public company clients, and mentor junior staff. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage public and private company financial statement audits from planning through completion.
• Apply strict PCAOB standards and SEC regulations to ensure compliance and top-tier audit quality.
• Perform risk assessments, review internal controls, and execute complex testing procedures.
• Supervise, train, and provide meaningful feedback to audit staff and interns.
• Act as a main point of contact for clients to answer questions and resolve issues quickly.
• Work efficiently under tight timelines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  
  3+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting.
• Technical Focus:
  Strong background working with PCAOB standards and SEC filings.
• Industry Focus:
  Experience with life sciences or bio-tech industry clients is a major plus.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification:
  Active CPA license is preferred, or actively pursuing eligibility to sit for the exam.
• Attributes:
  Excellent problem-solving skills, great communication, and a highly adaptable mindset.
