Position Title
Adjunct Faculty – Physical Geography, Introduction to Weather, Global Positioning Systems, Remote Sensing, and related courses.
Responsibilities- Provide instruction in accordance with curriculum, course outlines and schedules.
- Create and maintain an environment that encourages learning and critical thinking.
- Evaluate student progress and record grades.
- Meet with students outside of class.
- Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
- Keep current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time faculty member.
- Maintain accurate academic records.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Master’s in geography OR Bachelor’s in geography AND Master’s in geology, history, meteorology or oceanography OR the equivalent. OR Master’s in an interdisciplinary area or graduate coursework in at least one other constituent discipline.
Qualifications- Experience in adult learning curriculum design.
- Training in online teaching pedagogy.
- Experience with Canvas or similar LMS.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Adjunct instructor pay rate: $77.87–$128.97 per hour (up to $151.16). Counseling, Librarian, Disabilities Specialist pay rate: $51.37–$87.77 per hour (up to $100.65).
