Compensation Range:

Hourly: $26.63 - $28.89

The Department of Psychology in the JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences invites applications for a part‑time faculty position in Psychology. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. They will work closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty to ensure program quality, student engagement, and success.

• Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
• Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student‑centric learning environment.
• Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals).
• Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
• Provide feedback to the course lead regarding course content.
• Identify at‑risk students and collaborate with student services.

• Doctoral Degree in Psychology or related discipline from a regionally accredited university.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to teach in‑person at the Pleasant Hill, CA campus.

• Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA‑accredited program.
• Doctoral‑level teaching experience.
• Be a licensed Psychologist, or license‑eligible, in the state of California.
• Knowledge and experience in any of the following content areas: applied clinical theory, case conference supervision, psychometrics, assessment, psychopharmacology, psychobiology, neuropsychology, trauma psychology, integrated health, forensic or correctional psychology.
• Demonstrated interest in or commitment to incorporating multicultural perspectives in academic and/or clinical work.
• Research‑based, scholarly, peer‑reviewed journal article publications.
• Graduate‑level qualitative methods, quantitative methods, or statistics teaching experience preferred.
• Experience as a member of a dissertation committee, preferably as the chair/advisor.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that varies based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
