Instructional Support Program Teacher
Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the Instructional Support Program (ISP) teacher serves as a member of the Individual Education Program (IEP) team to support the identification, intervention, and education of students with support needs; provides an instructional program for students in classroom and community-based settings designed to offer students opportunities to participate more fully in home, school and community life;
serves as the case manager for assigned students; and provides consultation and training to instructional staff and parents. This position is a part-time position (.4 FTE), working M & W from 7:30-2:30. The teacher in this position may be expected to work at two (2) CCAS locations (Martinez and Richmond).
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree
• Valid California Teaching Credential to teach mild/moderate or extensive support needs; or eligibility to be granted an Educational Specialist credential to teach mild/moderate or extensive support needs or permit authorizing teaching students designated as Special Education;
English Learner Authorization
• Valid California driver's license
• Two (2) years teaching in a classroom serving students in an alternative setting, preferred.
