The Capital Campaign Director will lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of Choice in Aging’s (CiA) comprehensive capital campaign. Working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, Capital Campaign Committee, donors, volunteers, and community leaders, this individual will develop and implement campaign strategies that inspire transformational philanthropy. This position requires a fundraising professional who understands how to cultivate major donors, inspire volunteers, manage campaign operations, and build lasting philanthropic relationships that extend beyond a single campaign.

Working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, Capital Campaign Committee, donors, volunteers, and community leaders, this individual will develop and implement campaign strategies that inspire transformational philanthropy.

This position requires a fundraising professional who understands how to cultivate major donors, inspire volunteers, manage campaign operations, and build lasting philanthropic relationships that extend beyond a single campaign.

Essential Functions:

Capital Campaign Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive capital campaign strategy from quiet phase through public campaign and campaign completion.
  • Establish campaign goals, timelines, benchmarks, and reporting systems.
  • Manage campaign operations, prospect tracking, gift forecasting, and campaign analytics.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain transformational and major gift prospects.
  • Personally solicit six-, seven-, and eight-figure gifts alongside the CEO and Board leadership.
Donor and Community Engagement:
  • Build meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, corporations, and community leaders.
  • Develop individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies for major donors.
  • Develop and direct cultivation and recognition events ensuring donor acknowledgement and naming opportunities, stewardship, and, as appropriate, public recognition.
Board and Volunteer Leadership:
  • Identify members, lead, and provide support to volunteers on the Capital Campaign Committee.
  • Train and coach board members and campaign volunteers in fundraising best practices.
  • Prepare campaign reports, meeting materials, talking points, and solicitation strategies for executive leadership and the campaign committee members.
Strategic Leadership:
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure campaign priorities align with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop campaign messaging and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor campaign progress and recommend strategic adjustments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity with capital campaign or programmatic giving and progressively responsible fundraising leadership experience.
  • Experience partnering effectively with CEOs, volunteer campaign leaders, and governing boards.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience utilizing donor database and CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience fundraising for non-profit organizations.
