LVN/LPN School Nurse asant Hill, CA. Salary: $35 / Hour

The 1:1 School LPN/LVN identifies and treats health disorders among students, provides instruction for the student's general wellbeing and disease prevention, monitors physical conditions in the school setting, and refers the student to appropriate resources as needed. All duties are performed in compliance with the LPN/LVN scope of practice and state education codes.

• Current LPN/LVN license for the state in which the nurse practices
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• One year prior professional nursing experience in a school setting (preferred)
• Pediatric experience (preferred)
• Current BLS card
• Considerable knowledge of medical disorders and treatment
• Considerable knowledge of child growth and development
• Some knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies
• Some knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services
• Understanding of the school organization and the community served
• Must be at least 18 years of age
