Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience

Hours:

30+ hours per week (Full‑time)

Schedule: Varies based on business needs and includes opening, closing, weekend, and holiday shifts. Additional hours may be required during peak seasons, staffing shortages, call‑outs, or other operational needs.

Position Summary

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of a Butter Pecan Bakeshop retail location. This hands‑on leadership role oversees customer service, in‑store baking, product quality, team performance, and overall store execution. The Retail Supervisor works the majority of weekly shifts and plays a key role in maintaining a clean, efficient, and customer‑focused environment while ensuring high operational standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, trustworthy, organized, proactive, and passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences. They lead by example, coach team members effectively, and take ownership of store performance while supporting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

Retail Supervisors operate within a team‑based leadership model. While assigned to a primary store location, Supervisors may occasionally provide support at other company locations to ensure consistent operations and service standards throughout the organization.

Essential Functions Retail Operations & Supervision
  • Open and/or close the retail location for the majority of scheduled shifts.
  • Lead daily store operations and ensure smooth service throughout each shift.
  • Supervise retail team members, assign workstations, manage breaks, and maintain appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Maintain operational efficiency while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure retail displays are fully stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with company standards.
  • Resolve routine customer concerns professionally and elevate significant issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer‑ready environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.
In‑Store Baking & Product Quality
  • Perform in‑store baking using established procedures, and equipment.
  • Ensure all products meet company standards for quality, consistency, freshness, and appearance.
  • Train and coach team members on baking, preparation, finishing, and product handling procedures.
  • Monitor baking schedules, oven temperatures, product rotation, and food safety practices.
  • Manage production levels to maintain product availability while minimizing waste.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of products and ingredients.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training retail team members.
  • Reinforce company service standards, operating procedures, dress code requirements, and performance expectations.
  • Create, publish, and adjust employee schedules.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and accountability in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Foster collaboration between retail and other company departments.
Inventory, Cash Handling & Administration
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate product and supply needs proactively.
  • Complete daily cash handling responsibilities, including drawer counts, reconciliations, and deposits.
  • Prepare and transport bank deposits using company‑approved procedures.
  • Ensure proper FIFO inventory rotation and storage practices.
