The Pleasant Hill Public Library is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time Youth Outreach Specialist.

The Youth Outreach Specialist plans and performs programs and events for children from infancy through age 11 and their caregivers, with a primary focus on off‑site outreach. This position builds and maintains partnerships with local schools, childcare centers, and other community organizations and delivers off‑site library services that promote literacy and lifelong learning. The Youth Outreach Specialist also assists the Youth Services Librarian with in‑library programs, represents the library at community events, and supports readers’ advisory and reference services for children and families.

The Youth Outreach Specialist works under the general supervision of the Youth Services Librarian.

Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in library & information science, early childhood development or a related field;
Or equivalent as demonstrated by prior work experience or documented accomplishments.
