- Demonstrated proficiency to perform specific assignment.
- Preference given to successful experience at assignment/level.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
To create an activities program favorable to student learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students, families, and collaborative peers; to guide all students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for students to succeed in college, career, and civic life; to dedicate oneself to realizing the vision and mission of the district while conducting the work in accordance with the district core values.
PerformanceResponsibilities
- Hold organizational meetings for group prospects and encourage potential members to participate in the group/program.
- Develop a regular practice or meeting schedule.
- Work with the activities director in scheduling facilities for practices, meetings and competitions.
- Assign duties to assistants as necessary.
- Coach and instruct participants, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the activity.
- Work with activities director and business manager to conduct all fundraising activities in accordance with district protocol.
- Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior and provide proper supervision of participants at all times.
- Monitor the academic performance of group members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met and encourage participants to maintain a high academic standard.
- Conference with parents/guardians as necessary.
- Follow state, regional, and district regulations governing the program.
- Model appropriate behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards participants, officials, and spectators.
- Act as a program/group representative and promote the program/group by communicating with the news media, booster clubs, service clubs, and other organizations.
- Follow established procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and requisitioning of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain eligibility forms, emergency data cards, insurance records, equipment inventory, and other related records.
- Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
