Senior Bridge Project Engineer
We are seeking a senior‑level engineer to lead the design, analysis, and oversight of bridge projects across the U.S., from highway overpasses to pedestrian walkways. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, compliance, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components using industry‑standard software (AutoCAD, Micro Station, STAAD, Midas).
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct load rating and stress analysis for new and existing structures.
- Review and validate design calculations and drawings prepared by junior engineers.
- Coordinate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams.
- Ensure compliance with AASHTO, DOT, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Participate in field inspections and condition assessments of bridges.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in bridge design and project management.
- Proven experience planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring engineering projects.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, QA, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Master’s degree or higher.
- Experience with VDOT or other state/local transportation agencies.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Pre‑employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor‑vehicle checks may be required based on the position.
