Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
We are seeking a Cost Accounting professional to take ownership of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory controls, and financial analysis.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead across a large SKU portfolio.
- Perform weekly and monthly manufacturing variance analysis
, including PPV, labor, overhead, yield, and production variances. - Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Analyze production efficiency, labor utilization, capacity, and manufacturing performance.
- Support and improve the company's ERP system
, ensuring accurate costing, reporting, and financial data. - Partner with Supply Chain on forecasting, MRP, and inventory planning
. - Support annual budgeting
, including collaboration with department leaders on resource requirements. - Evaluate CAPEX investments
, including NPV and IRR analysis. - Support general accounting activities and other financial initiatives as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
. - 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, overhead allocation, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
. - Experience with overhead allocation using machine hours and/or labor hours
; sub-assembly costing experience is a plus. - Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Tables, and array functions
. - Experience with a manufacturing-focused ERP system such as Deacom, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar
. - Experience with cycle count programs and inventory accuracy improvements
. - Knowledge of CAPEX analysis, NPV, and IRR
. - Familiarity with ASC 842 / finance lease accounting is a plus.
- CPG, cosmetics, or other high-SKU manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
- CPA or CMA certification and SQL/reporting experience are a plus.
