Business Assistant
Prairie Ridge Dental Care, located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, is seeking a Business Assistant to support our front office team. The role involves patient interaction, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, financial discussions, and office workflow coordination.
Schedule
Monday – Friday
Compensation
- $19.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience
Ideal Experience & Qualities
- Highly organized, dependable, and tech‑savvy
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Patient‑focused mindset and willingness to travel to other offices
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer phones, assist with scheduling and rescheduling appointments
- Verify insurance benefits and patient information
- Support treatment plan presentation and financial discussions
- Collect patient payments and assist with account questions
- Maintain accurate patient records and front office workflow
- Partner with clinical team members to create a positive patient experience
- Help keep the office organized and running efficiently
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working with computers and dental office technology
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and dependable
- Willingness to travel to other offices as needed
- Completion of TB testing prior to starting employment
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- HIPAA training and PHI protection compliance
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years in a dental or medical setting
- 1+ years with insurance billing and accounts receivable
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Attendance at virtual or in‑person training sessions as scheduled
