Business Assistant

Prairie Ridge Dental Care, located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, is seeking a Business Assistant to support our front office team. The role involves patient interaction, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, financial discussions, and office workflow coordination.

Schedule

Monday – Friday

Compensation

  • $19.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience

  • Patient‑focused mindset and willingness to travel to other offices

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients in a friendly, professional manner
  • Answer phones, assist with scheduling and rescheduling appointments
  • Verify insurance benefits and patient information
  • Support treatment plan presentation and financial discussions
  • Collect patient payments and assist with account questions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and front office workflow
  • Partner with clinical team members to create a positive patient experience
  • Help keep the office organized and running efficiently

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with computers and dental office technology
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and dependable
  • Willingness to travel to other offices as needed
  • Completion of TB testing prior to starting employment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • HIPAA training and PHI protection compliance

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years in a dental or medical setting
  • 1+ years with insurance billing and accounts receivable
  • Experience with Dentrix or other dental software

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Attendance at virtual or in‑person training sessions as scheduled
