Anesthesiology

• Schedule: Weekdays and weekends;
  Mix of standard shifts and call; 6:30 A.M. arrival for 7:00AM start if block needed; 8‑9 hour typical anesthesia hours;
  Call starts with two weekdays and every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), eventually working towards two weekdays and every third weekend;
  Weeknight on call hours approximately 4:00PM‑7:00AM;
  Weekend on call hours 8:00AM‑8:00AM;
  On call day is worked;
  Post call day off sometimes
• Job Setting: 8‑11 OR rooms daily for 7‑8 blocks;
  Outpatient GI Center has two procedure rooms and Inpatient GI area runs 2 procedure rooms; EMR is EPIC
• Types of Cases: Cardiac surgery, neuro, general surgery, plastic, pulmonary, ortho, spine, gyn, urology, OB, cath lab, IR, EP and GI;
  General surgery, Gyn, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ortho, IR, EP, Cardiac, GI endoscopies, and Ophthalmology;
  All cardiac cases are completed by a physician;
  Estimate 90% of cases are performed by a physician themselves;
  Solo call;
  When working with CRNAs may be with one or two but that would only occur if the anesthesiologist in charge for the day; 9 anesthesiologists and 2 CRNAs in practice
• Credentialing: IMLC will be accepted

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified
• Certifications: Cardiac is required; TEE proficient but does not need certification;
  Covid Vaccine Required with exemption forms available
• Licensure: Active IMLC accepted
