Position OverviewThe Engineering Technician will conduct engineering activities including but not limited to test preparation, test execution, and records maintenance.
Responsibilities- Perform chemical analysis (inorganic) in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
- Perform particulate analysis in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
- Perform testing as required on new or existing products and components.
- Provide Engineering support to the Production and Quality Control departments. Including but not limited to the following:
- Statistical analysis of production-related problems.
- Work instruction and procedure review.
- Equipment and fixture evaluation.
- General troubleshooting and problem analysis.
- Record creation and maintenance (Declarations/Certificates of Conformity, test reports, etc.)
- Interpret instructions, specifications, and other pertinent information and communicate information to staff.
- All projects and tasks assigned by the Engineering Lab Supervisor.
- Ability to interpret and communicate engineering plans and specifications.
- Ability to perform chemical and particulate analysis (titration, mesh distribution, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work occasional overtime as needed to complete job duties.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- High school diploma and either additional pre-engineering related coursework or vocational school; OR equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, Quality Systems, Continuous Improvement and other Quality concepts/tools.
- Prior laboratory experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods wearing a face mask.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
