Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for a Plant Controller
. This company is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, excellent leadership skills, and is highly organized. This company provides a motivated team, collaborative culture, and competitive benefits. This position is onsite.

Base Pay Range

$/yr - $/yr

The salary for this job is $110K - $140K.

The Plant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with operations to oversee cost accounting functions including job costing, variance analysis, and troubleshooting within the ERP system.
  • Manage inventory valuation, monitor cycle counts, and oversee standard overhead rates.
  • Manage the trial balance, general ledger, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
  • Lead period-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes; maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable collections and timely Accounts Payable processing.
  • Perform various financial and non-financial analyses as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

The Plant Controller will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting or related field (manufacturing experience preferred), with 1+ years of experience in a Supervisory position.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, to include working knowledge of maintenance setup, data input, reporting, and data import/export.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, work with minimal direction and handle conflict in a positive manner.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with multiple departments including customer service, accounting, and operations.
