Radiology Technologist - Surgery Responsibilities
- Independently perform standard radiographic procedures in all settings.
- Provide specialized mobile imaging in the operating room, emergencies, and inpatient settings.
- Ensure high-quality intraoperative and bedside imaging.
- Assist with departmental coverage at one or more satellite facilities; weekend; holiday and on-call coverage as required.
- Independently handle, operate, and troubleshoot all equipment, including setup for C-Arm daily and case-specific use.
- Perform C-Arm imaging while maintaining sterile technique and assisting with patient positioning.
- Execute standard, emergent and portable exams across all settings, prioritizing imaging needs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate imaging study documentation within electronic medical records and department-specific systems for timely and organized recordkeeping.
- Collaborate with department teams to facilitate smooth procedural workflows.
- Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed.
- Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after the exam.
- Mentor students, participate in staff orientation, and assist in ongoing training and competency evaluations.
- Contribute to quality assurance by auditing images, upholding imaging standards, and collaborating on protocol development.
- Notify leadership and coordinate with vendors and biomedical teams to resolve technical issues and maintain equipment functionality.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and adapt to procedural changes while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care.
- Associate degree:
Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited certification program in Radiologic Technology - One year of radiologic technologist experience (preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Licensed Radiographer in the State of Wisconsin.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T) registered.
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.
Salary Range: Up to $39.50/hr (based on experience)
