Junior Buyer / Procurement Assistant (Entry-Level) Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Buyer / Procurement Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates looking to begin a career in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while supporting inventory and vendor coordination processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with inventory management and maintain accurate stock levels
- Monitor supply levels and report shortages or discrepancies
- Support purchasing activities, including tracking orders and deliveries
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and data entry
- Communicate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations
- Help improve processes related to stock control and procurement workflows
- Perform general administrative and operational support tasks as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Willingness to learn procurement systems such as SAP or similar software
- Experience with inventory tracking or stock management
- Cash handling or transaction accuracy experience
- Customer service or vendor communication background
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Valid driver’s license preferred
