Jr Buyer

Job Description

Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is hiring for a Jr Buyer to join our growing team! In this role, you will assist the Sr Buyer in procurement functions related to the purchasing of materials and supplies, while maintaining accurate and detailed records. Using your strong analytical abilities and problem‐solving skills, you will also be responsible for sourcing, initiating, and negotiating material purchases, spot buys when appropriate, and just‑in‑time inventory, while keeping excess inventory to a minimum.

• Purchase order placement with select suppliers
• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Participate in weekly and monthly procurement meetings
• Inventory management
• Month‑end invoice reconciliation
• Reporting
• Partner with internal departments on needs and requirements
• Report issues regarding vendor product quality, dependability, and service
• Continual process improvements and solution‑based thinking

• At least 1 year of experience in procurement or a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• SAP experience is required
• Able to interact with all levels of employees, management, and external and internal customers
• Organizational and planning skills, including the ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set personal goals, and enforce personal deadlines while remaining flexible to reassess priorities
