Senior Plant Manager – Packaging Manufacturing (Thermoforming & Extrusion)
We are seeking a Senior Plant Manager to lead and expand a large-scale packaging manufacturing facility producing a diverse range of products using thermoforming, extrusion, and assembly processes.
This role is responsible for driving operational performance, expanding plant capacity, and implementing world‑class manufacturing systems. The facility employs 300+ employees, and this leader will play a critical role in strengthening operational structure, improving performance, and supporting long‑term growth.
This position requires a hands‑on leader who can build strong plant‑floor relationships while developing strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and operational maturity.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all plant operations including thermoforming, extrusion, assembly, maintenance, quality, and supply chain.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational consistency and performance.
- Lead plant expansion efforts, including capacity growth, equipment implementation, and workforce scaling.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence methodologies.
- Establish KPI‑driven performance systems focused on efficiency, safety, quality, and cost control.
- Build and develop high‑performing leadership teams and strengthen organizational capability.
- Partner with executive leadership to align plant performance with business growth objectives.
- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, including Plant Manager or senior site leadership roles.
- Experience managing large manufacturing facilities with 300+ employees required.
- Strong experience in thermoforming, extrusion, plastics, or packaging manufacturing environments.
- Proven success implementing SOPs, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement programs.
- Strong financial acumen: able to connect operational data to P&L impact, EBITDA improvement, and cost structure optimization.
- Experience leading plant expansion, capacity growth, or major operational transformation initiatives.
- Multi‑site leadership experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field required.
