OverviewProduction Associates are part of the production and assembly process. This role varies based on the needs of the company and often includes assembling products, working on and monitoring production lines, and conducting quality checks. This position requires strong attention to detail, ability to work in a team setting, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities- Verify correct materials for production are received based on the bill of materials
- Organize and maintain stock/inventory levels
- Ensure that all finished goods are safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping
- Inspect products for defects and/or damage during production and at any other time
- Act as the point of quality to ensure products are up to quality standards
- Assist in the training of new employees
- Carefully and safely utilize the assembly tools to get the job done
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Interact with others towards accomplishment of team goals/objectives
- Participate in cross training programs and support co-workers as needed. Integrate temporary employees into duties as required.
- Participate in identifying problems, suggest improvements and participate where appropriate in implementation of solutions.
- Operate in a safe manner and comply with safety policies and procedures at all times
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly way, during and at end of shift
- Record and maintain any data related to work activity in a concise, accurate way, and communicate appropriately
- Will assist in operations in any which way deemed essential to meet production requirements
- Regular attendance and punctuality required
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience operating forklift preferred
- Ability to use hand tools
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Team player
- Safety oriented mindset
- Ability to work within deadlines under pressure and handle interruptions
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, reach overhead, and lift up to 30 lbs
- Must have the ability to interact with other departments in a professional manner
