Under the direction of the Ink Supervisor and Operations Manager, the Ink Technician is responsible for submitting orders for inks, staging and returning inks, controlling inventory and conducting monthly inventory counts of the ink room.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Stage ink for print jobs and put returned ink back into inventory.
- Read and understand the print travelers.
- Understand the GSE Dispensing System for mixing colors.
- Interface with ink and equipment suppliers.
- Fill out purchase orders and order inks.
- Ability to understand and operate the Techkon system and Chroma QA.
- Ability to do ink draw downs.
- Control and reduce ink inventory.
- Put away incoming inks.
- Maintain 5S standards in the ink room; maintain a clean and organized area.
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3 months related experience or training, or combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to lift and carry buckets of ink weighing up to 20lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, occasional reaching/overhead work and hand motion
