Material Handler – Pleasant Prairie, WI
Start immediately. Permanent full‑time position reporting to the Shift Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Transport products, packaging, and equipment throughout the facility using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Distribute items within the facility and serve as the SAP subject‑matter expert in the packaging area on the assigned shift.
- Partner with support functions to identify and resolve unplanned downtime events, quality, safety, cost, and other losses attributable to the area, applying problem‑solving techniques and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Handle incoming and outgoing materials for the assigned areas, ensuring timely and accurate entry into SAP.
- Operate forklift and/or pallet jack during routine duties, receive, inspect, and stage raw materials, scrap, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies into the assigned area, completing SAP entries as necessary.
- Remove finished products from production areas, ensuring proper identification, banding, and labeling to meet customer specifications, and complete SAP entries accordingly.
- Stage and load finished goods and materials in accordance with warehouse and production planning schedules.
- Coordinate the proper disposal of processed scrap materials into bins and hoppers, and manage banding and storage of materials.
- Load trucks as necessary and perform any other duties assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (HSED or GED) required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Valid forklift or pallet jack certification is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
