RN Nurse, Oncology Nurse
Registered Nurse – Cancer Clinic (RN)
What You'll Do As a Registered Nurse in the Cancer Clinic, you'll provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting while supporting patients through every stage of their treatment journey. Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Build ongoing relationships with patients by bridging episodic care across long-term outpatient treatment. Conduct telephone triage to assess patient needs and direct them to the appropriate level of care.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Administer medications and immunizations safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Coordinate and facilitate diagnostic testing and ensure timely follow-through on care plans. Monitor patient progress and evaluate responses to treatments and interventions. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team in a variety of emotional and clinical situations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation while adhering to clinical standards and best practices.
What We're Looking For
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Current RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire) Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Pay
$31.00 – $49.50 per hour, based on experience
