As we continue to grow, the Company is seeking a motivated individual to fill an Outgoing QC Inspector position.
PositionSummary
The Outgoing QC Inspector ensures fabricated stainless steel components meet stringent quality standards before shipment. This role is critical to maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical industry requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures in a fast‑paced custom fabrication environment.
Job Responsibilities- Perform final inspections of fabricated stainless steel parts and assemblies prior to shipment.
- Verify products meet customer drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools.
- Inspect welds for quality, cleanliness, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Ensure surface finishes meet pharmaceutical and sanitary requirements.
- Review material certifications, inspection reports, and job travelers.
- Identify and document nonconforming materials or products.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain detailed inspection records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in quality control or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with stainless steel fabrication preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of weld inspection standards such as AWS or ASME preferred.
- Experience with surface finish measurement tools preferred.
- Understanding of GMP and familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to shop conditions, production equipment, and inspection activities.
