Quality Assurance Inspector
Salary: $72,800-$83,200/year

6:00am-4:30pm

Pleasant Prairie, WI

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to join a manufacturing team in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong machining background who is skilled in quality inspection, CMM programming, GD&T interpretation, and precision measurement. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet customer specifications through first article, in-process, and final inspections while supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined components
  • Program, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CMM equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators, and other inspection tools
  • Review manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Investigate nonconforming products and participate in corrective actions
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated
  • Train production personnel on inspection methods and quality procedures as needed
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding quality requirements and specifications
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
  • Experience programming and troubleshooting CMMs
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Machining or CNC manufacturing experience preferred
  • Solid Works experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and spreadsheets
