As a R&D Scientist & Technical Leader -, you will be an integral part of the Research & Development department supporting product development, formulation science, and process innovation. Job Title: R&D Scientist & Technical Leader -

Location: Tempe, Arizona

• Lead the development and commercialization of advanced waterborne coating formulations across architectural and industrial sectors.
• Apply expertise in coating chemistries such as acrylic, epoxy, urethane, polyaspartics, and sil(ox) anes to create innovative products.
• Manage and execute complex R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing to optimize product performance and manufacturability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in coating sciences.

• Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in product development within the coatings or related scientific fields.
• MS or equivalent degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, with strong knowledge of organic chemistry.
• Proven leadership skills with at least 4 years of supervisory or management experience in a diverse workforce.
• Extensive knowledge of coating formulations, manufacturing processes, quality control, and regulatory considerations.
• Strong analytical skills, with expertise in structure-property relationships and application science for various coating systems.
