As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Position Type:
Part Time
Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour
Minimum 1 year or more of Security experience required
Candidates MUST have a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving history
Job Schedule:
Day Time Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry points, access activity, and/or visitor movement in accordance with site protocols, offering guidance and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Support daily operations by observing the location for security‑related issues, reporting hazards or policy violations, and assisting with directions, escorts, and/or other customer service needs as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1+ years of security‑related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
