As a Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical, and distribution systems throughout a facility. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. You will report to the Hard Services Supervisor and work alongside a team consisting of Maintenance Mechanics, HVAC Techs, Plumbers, and Electricians at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
- Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber's snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
- Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
- Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
- Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
- Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of water and waste lines and plumbing fixtures.
- Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
- Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
- Complete all HSE programs and activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
- Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
- Commercial and/or industrial plumbing experience
- Ability to use a CMMS system and email
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- OSHA 10 Construction certification (preferred but not necessary)
- Medical Gas certification
- Backflow certification
- Prior shift manager or supervisory experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school / apprenticeship program diploma required
- In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
- Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required
- Valid Driver's License required
- 5 years of job-related plumbing experience (or a combination of experience and education in lieu of diploma)

- Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility / office environment
- Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders
- Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
