Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Stand‑Up Forklift Operator in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Pay and Schedule
  • Hourly Pay $21.50 per hour
  • Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to second shift
  • $0.75 pay increase after 6 months of employment, $1.00 increase after a year
  • Schedule:

    Sunday - Tuesday 4:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.;
    Wednesdays 6‑hour shifts and hours alternate every two weeks: 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organization levels
  • Highly thorough and dependable
  • Must be punctual with good attendance record
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision
  • High degree of initiative
  • High level of accuracy even under pressure
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Must be available to work on a flexible schedule across various shifts

Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Carry out duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote‑induce, stage products and load/unload trucks
  • Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
