Accounts Receivable Specialist

We're hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist for an ongoing contract opportunity. This position will support daily accounts receivable operations, including payment processing, account reconciliation, collections, and resolving customer account discrepancies. Previous experience working in the construction industry is preferred.

• Process and apply customer payments accurately and promptly
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
• Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment status
• Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate account balances
• Prepare and distribute invoices and customer statements
• Maintain detailed collection notes and supporting documentation
• Assist with lien releases, progress billings, retention, or related construction billing processes as needed
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and internal accounting staff
• Assist with month-end closing and accounts receivable reporting
• Respond to customer questions professionally and promptly
• Provide additional accounting support as assigned
